Satuit Data Exchange (SDX) — Setup, Scheduling, and Troubleshooting

Q: What is Satuit Data Exchange (SDX)?
A: SDX is Satuit's automated import/export tool that runs scheduled jobs to sync data into or out of SatuitCRM without manual intervention. Common uses include nightly activity imports, account data feeds, and custom data exports.

Q: How do I set up SDX for an automated import?
A: Go to System Admin > Satuit Data Exchange > SDX Configuration > Add. Define your source, schedule, and mapping. You will also need the SDX credential tool and the SDX service configured on your server. Contact Satuit Support if you need assistance with the initial setup, as it requires server-level access.

Q: My scheduled SDX job stopped running and there's nothing useful in the error log. What should I check?
A: First, check if there is a large job stuck in the processing queue — a hung job can block other jobs from running. Contact Satuit Support to check the queue. Also verify that any API credentials used by the SDX job are still valid and have not expired or been changed.

Q: My SDX export isn't running. I checked permissions and everything looks correct.
A: Confirm that the Saved View used in the export is set to Public, not Private. SDX exports cannot access Private saved views. Update the view to Public and try running the export again.

Q: How do I check whether my SDX import processed correctly?
A: Go to My Outputs in SatuitCRM. SDX jobs should generate an output file you can review for errors or skipped records. If no output file is generated, the job may have failed silently — contact Satuit Support to check the server-side logs.

Q: After saving new API credentials for an SDX export, the job is still not running. Why?
A: After entering new credentials, make sure you click Save and Close — simply saving is not sufficient. The credentials must be fully committed before the job will run successfully.
